A Note on Fraud: Evertas Policies Are Only Issued Through Licensed Brokers

bitcoins and a US hundred dollar bill illustrate finances at risk from fraud

Evertas does not sell insurance directly to individuals or companies. All policies underwritten by Evertas are issued exclusively through licensed insurance brokers.

We’ve become aware of cases where individuals have been misled into believing they hold a valid Evertas policy without ever having worked with a broker. In some instances, documents have been falsified or misrepresented in connection with Evertas by unauthorized parties. These are not legitimate Evertas policies.

If you’ve encountered a situation like this, please be aware: Evertas is not involved in and cannot assist with any dispute, recovery process, or legal matter. These concerns must be handled through appropriate regulatory or legal channels.

How Our Coverage Works

Evertas operates as a Managing General Underwriter (MGU), specializing in underwriting complex digital asset risk. We partner exclusively with licensed brokers, who work directly with clients throughout the quoting and policy issuance process.

Legitimate Evertas coverage follows this sequence:

  1. A client works with a licensed insurance broker.
  2. The broker submits a risk profile to Evertas for underwriting.
  3. If approved, a policy is issued via the broker.

If there is no licensed broker involved, it’s not Evertas coverage.

What Evertas Can and Cannot Do

We do not provide:

  • Claims validation to individuals or third parties.
  • Legal support or mediation in fraud-related matters.
  • Crypto recovery or investigative services.

We can:

  • Help you understand what legitimate coverage looks like.
  • Recommend a licensed broker with expertise in crypto risk.
  • Clarify whether a broker is authorized to place coverage with Evertas.

If You’re Concerned

If you’ve been presented with what you believe to be an Evertas policy and there was no licensed broker involved, consider contacting law enforcement or a qualified legal advisor. You may also choose to notify a cybersecurity or threat intelligence provider if the incident is part of a broader pattern.

Final Reminder

Evertas works with licensed brokers only. We do not interact directly with insured parties, and we do not offer any kind of crypto fund recovery, claims investigation, or legal services. Any communication claiming otherwise should be treated with caution.

If you’re ever unsure whether a broker is authorized to place business with Evertas, you’re welcome to contact us for clarification. For more information, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
